7 SEASONS

A short description of the NSB

7 seasons is a project that focuses on increasing biodiversity in the city of Rotterdam. The project started as a private sector initiative. Green spaces will be created in a period of 7 years for these species (and other living beings). Temporary green projects are implemented in abandoned and neglected areas. 7 seasons is implemented in the neighbourhoods Provenierswijk and Aniesebuurt. The ambition of this project is to increase the interaction between urban dwellers and nature. In a period of 7 years, local residents are invited to start green, low-budget, initiatives. For each initiative participants can apply for funding to cover small costs. The work is done on voluntary basis.
